1940s George Hurrell, Photographer to the stars

So, these were in a trunk of vintage newspapers & magazines that I acquired YEARS ago. They all have tape around the edges, like they were framed at some point in time.

Based on my limited research, these may have appeared in an Esquire magazine.

Stunning photography!

Sally Who?

She has the "girl next door" look.

And this one could easily pass for a modern "selfie", but in the 1940s....not an everyday image

1954 Navy Vs. William & Mary ~ American Football

I captured a few images from the game program that I thought I would share.

Hoping someone that might be related to one of these fine chaps might enjoy the pictures.

There are many more in the program, so if you think a relative of yours might have been involved and would like me to look for a picture, just let me know.

I put the names in the body of my blog...hoping that someone that might be doing a search of relative names will happen upon this post when the search engines crawl.
